Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the revision in data freebies bundled with one of its most popular prepaid unlimited STVs – STV ₹499 – with effect from 1st June 2021 across all the telecom circles.
As per the latest information, BSNL’s STV ₹499 will offer 2GB Data per day instead of 1GB data per day without any change in the MRP or validity of existing STV. It means, customers can enjoy true unlimited voice calls to any network (including MTNL areas of Delhi & Mumbai), 2GB Data/Day, 100 free SMS/Day to any network and Zing Music app subscription for 90 days. The free SMS is also available from anywhere in India without any restrictions.

The above revision in tariff will be effective with effect from 1st June 2021 onwards across all the telecom circles. The implementation of the tariff is made in accordance with 43rd Amendment of Telecom Tariff Order and orders / guidelines / clarifications issued by TRAI from time to time.
How to Activate BSNL Prepaid STV 499 (BSNL Recharge 499 Offer) ?
Prepaid mobile customers can activate the above offer i.e., STV 499 by online recharge or through BSNL retailer shop / BSNL Customer Service Centers (BSNL CSCs). Selfcare activation is not allowed for this plan as this plan is bundled with free BSNL tunes. Customers are advised to use My BSNL App / BSNL Payment Portal for all their BSNL bill payments as well as recharge/top up transactions.
BSNL STV 499 is already active on my number. Whether I can avail this revised offer?
Existing customers in BSNL Recharge 499 will continue to enjoy the same benefits (1GB/Day) till the expiry of their current offer. However, on next renewal they can also avail the revised scheme i.e., 2GB data / day.
Avail 4% Discount on Online Recharge via My BSNL App
If you are a new user to install My BSNL App on your mobile, you can avail flat 4% discount on the MRP of any prepaid STV. To avail this scheme, simply download and install My BSNL App from pay store and register with your mobile number. You can also make recharge / top up / bill payments for your friends or relatives through My BSNL App.
