Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced the revision in prepaid mobile FRC plan ₹108 with effect from 1st April 2021 across all the telecom circles. As per the latest information, BSNL has decided to reduce the validity period of FRC plan 108 to 28 days for all new activations from 01-04-2021.
As we reported on 22nd February 2021, BSNL FRC Plan ₹108 was revised to offer 60 days validity for a period upto 31st March 2021. In FRC Plan 108, customers may enjoy true unlimited voice calls to any network including MTNL coverage areas of Delhi & Mumbai + 500 Free SMS to any Network + Unlimited data 1GB/Day. Customers may enjoy unlimited data with reduced speed of 80 Kbps after crossing the 1GB data limit in a day.

An Official statement regarding the revision in freebies with FRC108 read as follows:-
Freebies with FRC 108 : Truly Unlimited Voice facility including MTNL network in Mumbai and Delhi + Unlimited data with speed reduced to 80Kbps after 1 GB/day + 500 SMS including MTNL area Mumbai and Delhi) to be rationalized to 28 days along with its plan validity. All other terms and conditions will remain the same. The plan validity will be 28 days.
The implementation of the tariff is will be made in accordance with 43rd Amendment of Telecom Tariff Order and orders/guidelines/clarifications issued by TRAI from time to time. FRC Plan 108 can only be used for new BSNL customers. It means, both new as well as MNP Port-In customers may use FRC Plan 108 to avail these benefits. BSNL extended another FRC Plan ₹249 which offer 60 days validity and unlimited calls, data and SMS benefits. Customers who need 60 days validity may opt for FRC 249 instead of FRC 108.
