BSNL launches attractive bonus scheme upto ₹50,000 to franchisees and SIM selling retailers, starting from January 2021

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced the launch of lucrative Bonus Scheme for its Channel Partners i.e., for BSNL's Retailers (PoS - Point of Sale), Franchisees, Rural Distributors, Direct Selling Agents (DSA) all over India. This latest scheme offers one time bonus to franchisees and SIM selling PoS based on their performance.

BSNL Bonus Scheme for Channel Partners is also applicable to BSNL Rural Distributors (BRDs). Bonus scheme will be applicable for 3 months starting from January 2021. BSNL will be monitoring the performance of  franchisees and PoS based on their category and bonus will be given only to those franchisees / PoS who could improve or retain their performance as compared to previous month.

An Official statement from BSNL regarding the launch of Special Bonus Scheme read as follows :- 

In order to motivate channel partners to increase SIM sale and revenue during January-2021 to March-2021 i.e. for three months, approval of competent authority is hereby conveyed regarding launch of a Bonus scheme for providing one time bonus to franchisees and SIM selling PoS as per the details given below.

 

BSNL Bonus Scheme for Franchisees & PoS from January 2021 to March 2021 

  1. Bonus of Rs.1,500/-, Rs.1,000/-, Rs.500/- and Rs.200/- for Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver category of SIM selling PoS(including DSAs) respectively. 
  2. Bonus of Rs.50,000/-, Rs.25,000/-, Rs.10,000/- and Rs.5,000/- for Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver category of Franchisees (also applicable to BRD) respectively. 
  3. Bonus scheme will be applicable for 3 months and reference shall be the category in previous month i.e. for January-2021 reference shall be December-2020, for February-2021 reference shall be January-2021 and March-2021 reference shall be February-2021.
  4. In case of channel partners in Diamond category, bonus will be 100% if the category is retained and no bonus shall be applicable in case of category downgrade. 
  5. In case of channel partners in Platinum category, bonus will be 50% if the category is retained, 100% if they upgrade to Diamond category and no bonus shall be applicable in case of category downgrade.
  6. For all other categories, no bonus shall be applicable without category upgrade.

Bonus Scheme for Category Retention or Upgrade
BSNL PoS (Retailers/DSAs) in Diamond category are eligible for 100% bonus if they are able to maintain their sales performance as compared to previous month.

Bonus Scheme for Category Retention or Upgrade
BSNL PoS (Retailers/DSAs) in  Platinum category are eligible for 100% bonus only if they are able to upgrade their category to Diamond. They are eligible for 50% bonus for category retention.

Bonus Scheme for Category Upgrade
Bonus scheme is applicable only for category upgrade for Gold, Silver & Bronze category PoS.

BSNL PoS Categorization based on Sales Performance
BSNL categorized their PoS based on monthly sales as - Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver & Bronze as given in the table below. This categorization is applicable to BSNL Retailers and Direct Selling Agents (DSAs).

Based on their category, BSNL is offering free calls, data and SMS benefits on DSA / Retailer SIM. PoS having more sales will be given more benefits than others. Diamond category retailer / DSA can enjoy unlimited voice calls, 4GB Data / Day & 100 SMS/Day absolutely free. Similarly a Platinum Category retailer may enjoy unlimited calls, 3GB Data / Day & 50 SMS/Day while Gold category retailer may get unlimited calls, 2GB Data/Day & 30 SMS/Day as an incentive to their performance.

BSNL Trade Scheme Commission
In addition to the newly announced Bonus Scheme, BSNL Retailers and DSAs are also eligible for Trade Scheme Commission based on their monthly sales and SIM activations. Trade Scheme commission will be given as CTOP UP credit on next month to retailers / DSAs.

Trade Scheme Commission amount will be credited as CTOP UP balance on next month to Retailer / DSA CTOP-UP SIM card.


A retailer or DSA is activating more than 100 SIMs & doing recharge business worth amount of Rs 20,000 in a month will get Trade Scheme Incentive of Rs 40/- per SIM activations. For example, a DSA  who was able to sell 110 SIMs in previous month is eligible for Trade Scheme Commission  of Rs 4400/- (40 x 110).

BSNL MNP Commission
BSNL Retailer / DSA is also eligible for special MNP commission for port-in connections. MNP commission will be given in addition to FRC commission & Trade Scheme Commission. Retailers or DSAs doing MNP for BSNL will get attractive commission for each mobile connection port-in to BSNL network. Details for MNP commission is given in the below table.

BSNL FRC (First Recharge Coupon) Commission

BSNL retailers may also get FRC commission based on FRC amount. BSNL Retailers or DSAs may get maximum FRC commission of Rs 154/- with Plan Voucher Rs 1999/-. FRC commission will be credited as OTF (On The Fly) to CTOP UP balance of retailer / DSA soon after activating FRC. FRC OTF commission is applicable to new connections and MNP port-in connections.

CBP (Channel Bill Payment) Commission

BSNL Retailers and DSAs can accept payment for postpaid bill from customers through CBP wallet. BSNL landline, broadband and FTTH customers need not visit BSNL Customer Service Centre (BSNL CSC) to pay their telephone bills. Instead, they can remit the amount through BSNL DSA / Retailers in your area. BSNL offers attractive commission to Retailers and DSAs for accepting bill payment for BSNL's postpaid services through CBP wallet.

To enroll as BSNL Retailer, you may need to visit nearest BSNL Franchisee Office or contact BSNL Franchisee Manager in your location. By enrolling as a BSNL Retailer or BSNL DSA the following  sales opportunities are available which include - Provide New BSNL Mobile Connections (Prepaid&Postpaid), Provide MNP (Mobile Number Portability) PORT-In Connections to BSNL, Recharge / Top up transactions via CTOP UP wallet, Postpaid Bills Payment via CBP Wallet, Canvas Fixed Line Products like Landline, Broadband/FTTH etc &  SIM Swap (Duplicate SIM / SIM Replacement).
