Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced revision in tariff plans and slabs for Bulk Push SMS service. As per the latest information, revised plans are applicable to both transactional and promotional SMS services.
The latest revision has increased rate for SMS to BSNL numbers while rate to Non-BSNL numbers remain unchanged. BSNL has even reduced SMS rate no Non-BSNL numbers for customers opting monthly plan of more than 80 crore SMS and above. The revised rate for BSNL Bulk Push SMS is applicable from 1st December 2020 on wards on PAN India basis.

BSNL Bulk Push SMS Service
BSNL Bulk SMS service provides a simple and user-friendly way for sending bulk as well as individual messages at affordable rates. This Service includes the facility to send both transactional and promotional SMSs. Transactional and Promotional SMS can be send by customers through BSNL web portal /API. Promotional SMS can be availed by the Customers having telemarketing registration.
Need / Application for Bulk Push SMS Service
BSNL’s Bulk SMS service is extremely useful for Educational Institutions, Real Estate firms, Banking / Financial Institutions, Hospitals, Small & Medium Enterprise business units etc. for sending SMS to their customers. SMS may contain transactional or promotional content.
How to subscribe to BSNL Bulk Push SMS Service?
In accordance with the telecom regulatory authority of India, TRAI guidelines named as TCCCPR 2018, all the business entities who want to send commercial communication to their customers, have to register themselves as Principal entity mandatorily on BSNL DLT portal – https://www.ucc-bsnl.co.in/ . All Headers/SMS Sender IDs/numbers, from which they want to send Commercial communication along with call and SMS content templates must also be registered. Commercial communication without registration and not using the headers, assigned to them, may violate the provisions of the TRAI.
After registering in BSNL DLT Portal, customers wish to avail Bulk SMS service from BSNL may contact Enterprise Business unit of your nearest BSNL Business Area for further processing.
