State run PSU, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has decided to make the tele-verification process for its new mobile customers simple and easy.
As per the latest information, BSNL will be automatically diverting the initial call made from a new mobile connection to the tele-verification number 1507. Hence customers need not by-heart or remember the number - 1507 - for tele-verification process.
A large number of customers especially those from rural areas are not aware of the tele-verification process and thus activation of new mobile connections are getting delayed. The call center number for tele-verification process is not unique and is different for each telecom operators.
For the faster activation process, any number dialed from the customers will be diverted to tele-verification number 1507 irrespective of the number dialed for tele-verification and once the tele-verification process is complete, the call will be routed as per the actual number dialed by the customer.
BSNL Corporate Office has given all telecom circles to make necessary modifications in the switches so that new mobile connections may be activated without any delay.
The tele-verification process is compulsory for new prepaid and postpaid mobile connections as per DoT instructions. At present, the subscriber has to dial 1507 for tele-verification of his name, address, POI (Proof of Identity) & POA (Proof of Address). Within 4 hours of tele-verification, the SIM shall be activated for all outgoing & incoming.
For MNP (PORT IN) customers, the tele-verification call has to be made by the recipient operator after processing the CAF (Customer Application Form) submitted by the customer.

ReplyDeleteM calling 1507 continuously. My call is received but there is no any computer automated response. It just stays silent
ReplyDeleteI swith my network form airtel to bsnl but now very much disappointed with bsnl service. I am staying out side of my state so i can not verify the address just because of i belong to other state. When i called the bsnl ahent they informed me to verify the address with my own state bsnl agent. The number which i switched is very crusial for me. But now i am unable to use my sim card.
