PAN India 3G service provider, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has decided to slash the sale price / replacement charges of Prepaid and Postpaid SIM charges by 50% across all telecom circles with effect from 22nd January 2016 on wards.
The sale rice of 256K SIM Card (Normal/ Micro / Nano / Repluggable) will be slashed to Rs 100 from the existing rate of Rs 200. Nano SIM cards having storage capacity of 64K to 128K will be charged at Rs 59 per unit. Normal SIM Cards having storage capacity of 32K to 128K will be charged at just Rs 20 per unit.

Note: In case of Jammu & Kashmir, above SIM Price is exclusive of service tax.
The activation charges / selling price of postpaid connections would remain same. All other tariff / terms and conditions would remain same. The above tariff will be implemented with effect from 22-01-2016 on PAN India basis.
The above SIM charges are applicable to New Customers also as the initial charges include the Plan Voucher Charges + SIM Card Charges in case of Prepaid Customers. Existing BSNL Mobile customers may replace their old SIM cards with higher capacity SIM cards by submitting the ID proof in the nearest BSNL Customer Service Centre (BSNL CSC).

All BSNL SIM cards irrespective of capacity, supports high speed 3G data Services. Hence all BSNL Mobile customers can enjoy 3G Data speed, if they are in 3G coverage area, even they use their old SIM cards of Capacity 16 / 32 / 64 K.
