We have been receiving lots of quires and doubts from our readers regarding the validity extension of BSNL Mithram Prepaid Mobile Plan of Kerala Circle. Earlier, BSNL introduced Plan Voucher based validity extension for all Prepaid Mobile Plans. At that time, Mithram Plan customers were able to extend their validity by 180 days by recharging the Plan Voucher amount i.e., Recharge 49.
Later, BSNL launched validity extension with Top Up 200 or when the Cumulative Top Up reaches Rs 200. It was also very much helpful for customers since they need not worry about Plan Vouchers or change in the Plan Voucher denominations. Then, after the migration to the new Intelligent Network (IN), BSNL informed that, cumulative Top up facility is not possible to implement due to technical limitations in new IN.
As a result, BSNL introduced Validity along with all Top Up recharges. Customers may get 9 days validity with Top Up 10 and 18 days with Top Up 20 and up to 180 days with Top Up 200. Along with this feature, BSNL offered Always Full Talk Time facility for Top Up 200, 500 and 1000 exclusive for Mithram Plan Customers.
This facility was also very much useful since customers may get Full Talk Time + Validity whenever he / she does a Top Up recharge of 200 or 500 or 1000. The validity associated with each Top Up denominations were also generated confusion among customers.
As per the latest information from BSNL, customers may get validity with all Top Up denominations as given below.

This system is also very much useful for those people having minimum usage of Rs 200 in 6 months. After the introduction of Validity along with Top Up, BSNL withdrawn the Plan Voucher based validity extension for Mithram Plan Customers. Now BSNL customers may use Recharge 49 (Plan Voucher 49) only for migration from other plans to Mithram Plan.
Recently, BSNL announced that, Mithram Plan customers having prepaid account balance greater than Plan Voucher amount (i.e., Rs 49 or above) may extend their validity automatically by deducting the plan voucher amount from their prepaid account. This system is extremely useful for those people having very low mobile usage.
If your account balance is below the required Plan Voucher amount, your validity will be extended by 180 days and your plan will be changed to PLAN – 8 by deducting Rs 8 from your account.
As per latest information, for all validity expired prepaid mobile customers of any plan, BSNL Kerala Circle offers One Day Validity with all top up transactions. Sir,I have 800+ balance in my bsnl mithram(old) and it is having validity till 15th this month(july 2015).When I contacted the customer care ,each time they give different solution which are confusing me a lot. So what should I do for extending the validity to another 180 days without recharging for 200 RS,as I have enough balance.The customer care gave me differently what is shown above .The site is a lot helpfull and kindly remove the old posting's.

Hi ,does the cumulative recharge(validity 9 days for 10Rs,18 days for 20 Rs,…..) only applicable in the grace period(after validity end) or is it available on regular validity period.
Dear Vishnu, Cumulative recharge facility is available to all customers FROM THE DATE OF TOP UP. ( If the existing validity period is higher than the cumulative top up validity, further addition of validity will not take place.)

I am a mithram plan customer having a balance of Rs.1100.00 as on 23.11.15 and the due date to recharge on 23.11.15. According to you if sufficent balance is available in the account the system will deduct Rs.49.00 from the account to extend the validity. If so what is the necessity to send SMS frequently for the last one week reminding to use plan voucher before 08.12.15 to retain my balance.
