India’s National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) provides Missed Call Alert (MCA) service. This service (MCA) is Free to all BSNL Mobile Customers except those from North Zone. Missed Call Alert Service is a Value Added Service which allows a BSNL Prepaid or Postpaid
Mobile Customer to retrieve their Missed Call details via SMS, when the
customer is in out of coverage area or when the users mobile runs out
of battery.

the details of their missed calls such as the call timings, the number

Procedure for Activation of BSNL Missed Call Alert (MCA) Service
To activate Free Missed Call Alert service,BSNL customers may ‘Divert Voice Calls when Out of Coverage Area’ to the number ‘+9117010’.
How to Divert Voice Calls for BSNL Missed Call Alert Service
- Go to Settings
- Select : Call settings
- Select : Call divert/Call Forward
- Select : ‘Divert when Out of Coverage Area’ (Options may differ from phone to phone )
- Type the Number +9117010
- Save the settings
Some handsets allows the customers to activate the Missed Call Alert(MCA) Service by dialing the code: **62*+9117010#
Procedure for De-Activation of BSNL Missed Call Alert (MCA)
- Go to Settings
- Select : Call settings
- Select : Call divert / Call Forward
- Select : When Unreachable
- Delete the number +9117010
- Save the settings
Some handsets allows the customers to de-activate the Missed Call Alert(MCA) Service by dialing the code: ##002#

Recently ported from Tata Docomo to BSNL. While using Docomo, I used to get missed call alerts the instant I turned on my phone or got network coverage. But with BSNL with the exception of some messages not reaching me at all, I receive them within a fairly reasonable time of 1-2 hours.

Thankz for the help bsnl providers…..nd i have one problem regarding messages….i am getting messages lately that if someone sends me a message at 5:30pm it is being delivered in my phone at 5:40pm likewise…lot of delay in messages…may be it will be a hour or two late….wahta wrong ? Thankz for helping bsnl……and i hav some prblms with my mesaages…tha messages are being delivered to me lately..means in someone sends me a msg at 5:30pm it is being delivered to me at 5:40pm…bt the tym in the msg shows 5:30 nd my phn tym is 5:40…i checked wether my time is corect nd contacted the messenger who sent me the message nd he says its 5:30…sometimes the delay will be an hour or more..plzz help me with this…i hav ported idea to bsnl 4/5 months ago…i also hav prblm with recieving calls..cant clear nicely…lots of lagging…the range bar is full…pla help me nd solve this problem as faster as possible…am having this trouble since after 1month from porting….
