Press Release : Beware of being deceived by fake SMS & Voice messages regarding KYC verification of your Mobile Number

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has issued a press release today regarding the fake SMS and Voice messages being sent by fraudsters for completing KYC of mobile connections. As per the latest information, such false messages are being received by customers of all mobile operators including BSNL.

Many incidents were already reported from various parts of country where innocent customers have been deceived by such fraudulent people. The modus of operandi of these fraudsters are the same. In all the cases, customers will receive an SMS regarding completion of KYC of their existing mobile number. Such messages also carry a false warning that the mobile number will be disconnected within 24 hours if KYC is not verified.

BSNL revises scrubbing charges of Bulk SMS service; 50% discount to Government entities to continue

BSNL has announced the revision in scrubbing charges for Bulk Push SMS Service. The PSU has also announced that 50% discount on scrubbing charges which is currently applicable to Government entities and PSUs will also continue till further orders.

As per the latest information, scrubbing charges for Bulk SMS service is reduced to 2.0 paisa per SMS from existing rate of 2.1 paisa per SMS for SMS count below 10 Crores. For Government entities, PSUs and Scheduled Banks (except private banks), the rate will be just 1.0 paisa per SMS for the same slab. Scrubbing charges are applicable to SMS submitted to DLT platform for filtering as per TRAI TCCCPR 2018 regulations.

BSNL revises eSIM plans for IoT & M2M applications; Waives off annual recurring charges for private APN

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the revision in tariff plans for eSIM cards for IoT (Internet of Things) & M2M (Machine to Machine) applications. As per the latest information, the PSU has decided to waive off annual recurring charges for private APN.



Earlier, BSNL was offering differential charges for private APN based on the number of eSIM / SIM cards purchased by customer. Now BSNL has decided to charge Rs 10,000/- only for private APN without any additional recurring charges. As per the old tariff plan, a customer need to pay annual recurring charges in addition to one time charge. The revised charges are applicable for all the existing as well as new customers with effect from 2nd July 2021 onwards.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the launch of new promotional Bharat Fiber (FTTH) Broadband plan - 'Fibre Experience @ Rs 399' exclusive for new Bharat Fiber (FTTH) customers. As per the latest information, this plan will be available for limited peiod of 90 days with immediate effect.

BSNL Fibre Experience FTTH plan will offer 30Mbps download speed till 1000GB data usage. After 1000GB, speed will be reduced to 2Mbps. This newly announced plan will be available to new customers in Gujarat, Tamilnadu, Telangana and Kerala circles only. Customers opting 'Fibre Experience 399' plan will automatically change to Fiber Basic 449 plan after 6 months. 'Fibre Experience 399' also comes bundled with unlimited voice calls to any network without any additional charges.

BSNL to extend Pay-by-Date of Bharat Fiber (FTTH) bills issued in July 2021 for 4 more days

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the extension of pay-by-date of Bharat Fiber (FTTH) bills for 4 more days. This revised pay-by-date is applicable to BSNL FTTH bills issued in the current month (July 2021) only.

BSNL has also declared that, this relaxation in pay-by-date is applicable to its FTTH (Bharat Fiber) customers across all the telecom circles. As per BSNL's postpaid billing schedule, pay-by-date is normally on the 15th day from invoice date. At present, BSNL is issuing invoices to its customers on 3rd day of every month. According to BSNL postpaid billing schedule, the pay-by-date falls on 19th day of every month. In July 2021, BSNL FTTH customers can make their bill payment till 23-07-2021 without late fee or penalty.

BSNL to launch 300Mbps Combo Fibre (FTTH) plans for Hon'ble MPs of Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha from 1st August 2021

BSNL today announced the launch of Special Combo Fibre (FTTH) plans of landline and broadband exclusively for honorable MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Till now, BSNL was offering stand alone broadband and landline tariff plans to MPs. As per this latest tariff revision, BSNL has introduced special Combo plans which offer landline as well as broadband services bundled together.

Earlier, these special plans were given directly through BSNL only. If BSNL's copper or fiber network is not available (not feasible), the services can be availed via BSNL's authorized franchisees/TIPs also.

Google Nest Mini is available to BSNL customers in plans having monthly rent from Rs 799/- whereas Google Nest hub is available to customers having monthly rent from Rs 1999/-.

BSNL Annual Payment Schemes for Bharat Fiber (FTTH), DSL Broadband, Air Fiber, BBoWiFi and Landline services extended till 13th October 2021

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced the extension of Annual Advance Payment Schemes for it's Bharat Fiber (FTTH), DSL Broadband, Air Fiber, BBoWiFi and Landline services. Annual Advance Payment Schemes are available for BSNL customers in all telecom circles except Andaman & Nicobar circle.

BSNL allows two different variations of annual advance payment schemes based on customer tariff plan / package. Customers in new Bharat Fiber (FTTH) as well as Bharat Air Fiber (BAF) plans can avail 13 months service by paying for 12 months fixed monthly charges in advance. At the same time, BSNL customers in all other tariff plans which include - old Bharat Fiber (FTTH),  old / new BSNL DSL Broadband, BBoWiFi (Broadband over WiFi) and Landline plans can select any one of the four advance payment options  - 6 months / 12 months / 24 months / 36 months.

BSNL allows Bharat Fiber (FTTH), Broadband and Landline customers to make higher or advance payment via BSNL Online Payment Portal

BSNL has introduced a new facility to it's Bharat Fiber (BSNL FTTH), Broadband as well as  Landline customers all over India. As per the latest information, BSNL customers can pay higher amount than the actual invoice amount online via BSNL Payment Portal.

Till now, BSNL customers were allowed to make online payment only for the generated bill amount. Hence customers who wish to pay higher amount than the invoice amount were forced to visit BSNL Customer Service Centre to make advance payment for their BSNL Bharat Fiber (FTTH) or BSNL Broadband or BSNL Landline connection. In order to help customers during these pandemic period, BSNL authorities has introduced this advanced facility where customers can make online payment of any amount which is higher than the invoice amount.
