As per the latest information, BSNL customers may get Google Home Mini @ just ₹1287/- (MRP ₹4999/-) and Google Nest Hub @ just ₹2587/- (MRP ₹9999/-). The above discounted scheme is applicable only to BSNL broadband / FTTH / Air Fiber customers opting annual payment scheme. Under annual payment scheme, a customer may also get one month's free service i.e., pay for 12 months and get 13 months service.

BSNL issues advisory to business entities : Registration in BSNL DLT Portal is mandatory for sending commercial communication

In accordance with the telecom regulatory authority of India, TRAI guidelines named as TCCCPR 2018, all the business entities who want to send commercial communication to their customers, have to register themselves as Principal entity mandatorily on BSNL DLT portal https://www.ucc-bsnl.co.in/

All Headers/SMS Sender IDs/numbers, from which they want to send Commercial communication along with call and SMS content templates must also be registered. Commercial communication without registration and not using the headers, assigned to them, may violate the provisions of the TRAI.

BSNL recently launched an attractive longer validity prepaid mobile plan priced at 2399 which offers unlimited voice calls and SMS for 600 days.

This new prepaid plan  ₹2399 offers unlimited voice calls in home and national roaming including MTNL network area of Delhi & Mumbai. Customers may also get 100 free local /national / roaming SMS per day to any network including MTNL area. In addition,  customers opting this longer validity plan will also get free BSNL Tunes for 60 days.

BSNL withdrawn postpaid mobile plans - Plan 149 & Plan 725 on PAN India basis

BSNL has announced the withdrawal of its two postpaid mobile plans -  Plan 149 & Plan 725 on PAN India basis. As per the latest information, these two plans will not be available to new customers for subscription.

BSNL has also decided to offer special discount scheme to existing customers in these plans to migrate to other higher plans. Customers in Plan 149 / Plan 725 may get special cash discount for three months on migrating to any other higher postpaid plan during this promotional period. This discount scheme is available for a period up to 30th September 2020.

Prime Minister to inaugurate BSNL's undersea submarine OFC connectivity (CANI) from Chennai to Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 10th August 2020

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate and dedicate to the Nation through video conferencing the submarine Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) connecting Chennai and Port Blair on 10th August, 2020. The submarine cable will also connect Port Blair to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock), Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Kamorta, Great Nicobar, Long Island, and Rangat.

BSNL launches 'Book My Fiber' Portal for taking customer request for Bharat Fibre (FTTH) connections

BSNL has launched 'BookMyFiber' portal at http://bookmyfiber.bsnl.co.in for taking customer request for Bharat Fibre (BSNL FTTH - Fiber Broadband) connections.

Customers who wish to avail BSNL FTTH service may register in this portal by providing his/her name, mobile number, email address.  After entering details in  BSNL 'Book My Fiber' Portal, an OTP will be sent to the customer mobile number for verification and the same has to be entered in portal for submitting his request.

Munnar Rajamala landslide : BSNL restored communication facility in record time through satellite connectivity

Following the heavy landslide due to torrential rain causing almost irreparable damages and taking many tolls in Munnar Pettimudi, Rajamala factory area inflicted heavy damages to BSNL mobile towers in that area. There was total interruption of communication in this remotest area, as BSNL being the only operator in this part of high range area in Idukki district.

This has caused hindrance to the rescue operations, but BSNL could restore communication in record time through satellite connectivity circumventing heavy challenges. BSNL employees had resort to forest pathway to reach the tower location encountering many odds because of no road connectivity as the bridge enroute from Munnar to Pettimudy got washed off.
