BSNL plans to launch unlimited free mobile calls to any network @ Rs 149 from 1st January 2017 on wards

PAN India 3G service provider, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is gearing up to launch unlimited free mobile calls to any network @ Rs 149 which will be available to its 3G/2G mobile customers from 1st January 2017 on wards.

BSNL plans to launch unlimited free mobile calls to any network @ Rs 149 from 1st January 2017 on wards

As we reported earlier, the new unlimited plan will help the PSU in matching the tariff offered by the new entrant Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. BSNL's 149 unlimited voice plan may also include 300 MB data usage for its customers. BSNL Chairman cum Managing Director Shri. Anupam Shrivastava said - "We are working on a plan to allow unlimited voice calls to mobile subscribers at any network across India at Rs 149 a month."
The PSU plans to route the voice traffic through its broadband network. However, the free-voice facility will also be available when a subscriber would use it outside the residence. To accomodate voice traffic, BSNL is also upgrading its broadband network. By offering unlimited voice calls at Rs 149 a month over its existing broadband network, the PSU will also aim to reduce interconnection usage charges (IUC).
"Jio has come up with disruptive strategy and we are ready to match whatever tariff is being offered by our competitors," BSNL CMD added.
The newly proposed Unlimited Voice plan 149 will be a big hit in the current Indian telecom market since the scheme will be available to all existing 3G/2G mobile customers. As per reports, BSNL's Unlimited Voice scheme will be available through BSNL SIP App (BSNL's VoIP Mobile App).

  2. @BSnl, please clarify immediately that BSNL SIP App (BSNL's VoIP Mobile App) will work on all ISPs or in bsnl 2g or 3G.if it works only on bsnl 2g or 3g it would be a big flop.or if it will work over all the ISPs it will be a great success to BSNL had ever seen.
